Event overview
The Mine Hill Half marathon takes place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, with start and finish at Mine Hill Distillery, 5 Mine Hill Rd., Roxbury, CT 06783. The event is organized by Steep Endurance. There is a gravel bike event and a duathlon option held alongside the running race; those events require separate registration. Entry fees are listed at $60 to $80. Registration opens January 1, 2026. The organizer’s stated refund policy: no refunds and no transfers of registration or bibs to another person.
Course and race features
The course is a road half marathon with sections on paved roads and soft dirt roads. The route leaves the distillery, follows Route 67, then continues onto Sentry Hill Rd and Judds Bridge Road. Runners cross Judds Bridge, pass Walker Brook Rd, then climb Shinar Mountain Rd. The climb on Shinar Mountain transitions into Lower Church Hill Rd and leads to West Church Hill Rd. The course reaches its highest point near the halfway mark after a 1/2 mile hill with about 250 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the course trends downhill and returns along Walker Brook Rd, across Judds Bridge, onto Sentry Hill, Route 67, and Mine Hill Rd toward the finish.
Awards and post-race
Finisher medals are provided by Ragged Cuts. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. A post-race celebration will include food and beverage options, an opportunity to sample Mine Hill Distillery spirits, and possible live music.
