Ogopogo Extreme Triathlon
The Ogopogo Extreme is an iron-distance triathlon held in the Okanagan Valley near Penticton. The course begins with a pre dawn swim in Skaha Lake, continues with a bike route that passes through vineyards and includes mountain climbs, and finishes with a rugged trail marathon that ascends into alpine terrain. The event is presented as a grassroots, athlete-focused competition.
Three competition formats are offered:
- 230 km Ogopogo Extreme 500 CAD
- 117 km Ogopogo 3500 450 CAD
- 220 km Ogopogo Extreme Relay 650 CAD
The Ogopogo 3500 uses the same swim venue and similar bike and run terrain in a shorter format. The relay format splits the swim, bike and run among team members so the course is completed as a team. A support vehicle is required for the solo and shorter formats; for relay teams the support vehicle may be a team member.
The listed race date is 05 Sep 2027 in Penticton. Registration status shown with the event was closed at the time the information was listed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
