About the race
The Ogopogo Extreme weekend on Sunday 5 September 2027 includes three race formats: Ogopogo Extreme, Ogopogo 3500 and Ogopogo Relay Triathlon. The event takes place in the Okanagan region, starting at Skaha Lake and finishing with mountain terrain near Apex Mountain Resort.
Before dawn athletes assemble at the edge of Skaha Lake for a lake swim. The course then follows rolling roads through wine country, past vineyards and orchards, with sustained climbing that leads toward Apex Mountain Resort. The final portion is a mountain run over alpine trails and ridgelines with panoramic views.
