Three Blind Mice 50K/25K - Penticton BC
The race takes place on September 19, 2026 at the Poplar Grove parking lot, on the Three Blind Mice trail network just outside Penticton. Trails are mostly single track with both technical and flowy sections, maintained by PACA.
Distances
- 25K - elevation gain of approximately 3400 ft
- 50K - elevation gain of approximately 7000 ft
Course
Both races start and finish at the Poplar Grove parking lot. After about 500 m on the KVR, runners follow Riddle Road into the Mice. All runners complete a loop using Southern Dancer, Bronco, Rainbow, Neverland and Yellow Brick Road. 50K runners continue with a second loop that includes Marmot, Tripod, Sidewinder, Rusty Muffler, Corral, Fred and Slabs.
Aid stations and gear
Two aid stations are planned: Rusty Muffler at roughly 14K and Pearly Gates at roughly 24K. Stations will offer water, electrolyte drink, gels, fruit, PB&J sandwiches, pickles and other items. The event is cupless and runners should carry a reusable cup. 50K runners may leave one small drop bag to be transported to Pearly Gates. Required gear includes the ability to carry at least 1 L of water; a phone and cold weather clothing are recommended.
Other details
All registration fees will be donated to Penticton Search and Rescue. Registered runners will receive a t shirt if registered by July 1 and a race souvenir. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Cutoffs are 6 hours for the 25K and 11 hours for the 50K. Parking near the start is limited to about 30 spots. A post race BBQ with vegetarian and vegan options is planned.
