Three Blind Mice 50K/25K : Overview
The event is a trail race held on September 19, 2026, at the Poplar Grove parking lot near Penticton, British Columbia. All registration fees will be donated to Penticton Search and Rescue.
Distances
- 25K, approx. 3400 ft elevation gain
- 50K, approx. 7000 ft elevation gain
Both races start and finish at the Poplar Grove parking lot. The course leaves the Kettle Valley Railway for Riddle Road and uses loops through the Three Blind Mice trail network. Trails named on the course include Southern Dancer, Bronco, Rainbow, Neverland, Narnia, Marmot, Tripod, Sidewinder, Rusty Muffler, Corral, Fred and Slabs.
Aid stations and support are provided. Two aid stations are listed, at Rusty Muffler (around 14K) and Pearly Gates (around 24K). Aid stations will offer water, electrolyte drink, fruit, peanut butter and jam sandwiches, pickles and similar items. The race is cupless; runners must carry a reusable cup. Drop bags are allowed for 50K runners and will be transported to the Pearly Gates aid station.
All finishers receive medals; registered runners by July 1 receive a t-shirt and all runners receive a race souvenir. Cut-offs are seven hours for the 25K and eleven hours for the 50K. Parking is arranged at D'Angelo Estate Winery, about a 1 km walk from the start/finish, and participants are asked not to park at the start area or on Riddle Road. A post-race party with pizza and drinks takes place at Abandoned Rail Brewing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
