Event details

The Ocean State Rhode Races take place on October 25, 2026, at Narragansett Town Beach in Narragansett, Rhode Island. The event includes the following distances:

The full marathon course is USATF certified and listed as a Boston qualifier. All races are chip timed with both gun time and chip time recorded. RaceJoy athlete tracking and text alerts are available. Medals are awarded to all full and half-marathon finishers. All participants receive a race shirt; shirt sizes are guaranteed only for orders placed before June 1.

Logistics and rules

Packet pickup is available at multiple times and locations, including a Friday location at Rhode Runner (657 N. Main St., Providence), a Saturday pickup, and a Sunday pickup at Narragansett Town Beach North Lot. Photo ID is required for bib pickup; someone else may pick up a packet only with a signed note and a photocopy of the runner’s ID. Gear bag check is provided at the start; participants must provide labeled bags and should not leave valuables.

Aid stations are placed at approximately 2-mile intervals and provide water and an electrolyte drink; some stations also offer energy gels and bananas. Port-a-johns are located at the start and at aid stations. Roads are not closed to traffic; coned running lanes will be used. Dogs, strollers, and bicycles are not permitted on the course. The marathon has an official time limit of 6 hours and an early-starters option for runners needing extra time; early-starter participants are ineligible for age group awards.
