Ocean State Rhode Races - Narragansett, RI
The Ocean State Rhode Races take place in Narragansett, Rhode Island on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The event weekend includes three distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K
The marathon course is USATF certified and listed as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The weekend is R.I. Department of Environmental Management Green-Certified. Course scenery includes farms, coastal homes, old rock walls, tree-lined back roads, ocean views and waterways, with sections along US 1A and Bonnet Shores.
Packet pick-up is scheduled over the weekend at local locations, with an additional race day packet pick-up at Narragansett Town Beach north lot. Post-race activities center on a finish line festival at Narragansett Town Beach and a nearby post-race gathering at Whalers Brewing Company, where participants aged 21 and over receive a complimentary beer ticket.
Race services include aid stations stocked with water, Nuun electrolyte drink, HoneyStinger energy gels and bananas, plus port-a-potties at each aid station. The marathon course is secured for six hours and the half marathon for three and a half hours; an early start option is available. Pace groups are provided for both distances. Race amenities include gender and race specific tech shirts, free race photos, live athlete tracking via RaceJoy, and finisher medals for marathon and half marathon participants.
