Ocean State Rhode Races : Narragansett, RI
The 10th annual Ocean State Rhode Races take place in Narragansett, Rhode Island on October 25, 2026. The weekend features three distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K
The marathon course is USATF certified and is listed as an Abbott World Marathon Major and Boston Marathon qualifier. Course scenery includes coastal views, farms, old rock walls and tree lined back roads, and the route starts and finishes at Narragansett Town Beach with sections along US 1A and Bonnet Shores.
The event is R.I. Department of Environmental Management Green Certified. Aid stations are located throughout the courses and will offer water, electrolyte drink, HoneyStinger energy gels and bananas; port a potties are provided at all aid stations. Course time limits secure the marathon for six hours and the half marathon for three and a half hours; an early start option is available for marathon runners who need additional time.
Pace groups are organized for both distances with specified marathon and half marathon target paces. Live runner tracking is available through the RaceJoy mobile app for participants who carry their phones and activate tracking. Post race amenities include a finish area festival, a recovery zone with free post race stretching, free race photos, race specific tech shirts and medals for marathon and half marathon finishers, and a nearby post race gathering with a complimentary beverage for participants aged 21 and over.
