Ivy Rehab/Elite Physical Therapy Shamrock Shuffle 5k
The Shamrock Shuffle 5k is a festive running and walking event held in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The event serves as the third and final leg of the Tour de Patrick, a three-race series celebrating St. Patrick's Day across different cities in the state. The course is located at North Kingstown High School.
Available event distances and formats include:
- 3.1 miles (5K Run/Walk)
- 400 meters (Kids Leprechaun Run)
- 3.1 miles (Virtual Shamrock Shuffle 5K)
The 5K event is open to both runners and walkers. Strollers are permitted but must begin at the rear of the starting field for safety. Pets are not allowed at the event. The Kids Leprechaun Run consists of one lap around the North Kingstown High School track and is open to children aged 12 and under. Parents may run alongside their children during this event.
A post-race gathering takes place at The Trap in East Greenwich, featuring live music and a bar for participants. Individual awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and winners in various age groups ranging from under 19 to 70 and older. Overall awards are based on gun time, while age group awards use chip timing. A team award is also available for the top overall team based on the combined chip times of the top three members.
Participants who complete all three races in the Tour de Patrick series receive custom socks and a finisher's medal. Virtual participants have the option to submit their times online to count toward various race series standings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
