Annual Hangover Classic 5 Miler (January 1, 2026)
The event is the 40th annual road race held in Bristol, Rhode Island. It includes an in-person 5 mile race and a virtual distance challenge called "Virtual Resolution - How far will you go?" Each event has a registration fee of $25. The virtual event accepts entries through January 1, 2026; the in-person price increases after October 15, 2025.

Course, awards and logistics
The in-person course goes through Colt State Park and along Poppasquash Road. Part of the route is on an untreated bike path and may have uneven or slippery conditions depending on weather. The race is cupless, so participants should bring their own hydration and nutrition. The course will be open for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Awards include one-of-a-kind trophies for the top two men and top two women overall and for the first male and female in these age categories: Junior (18 and under), Open (19-29), Sub Master (30-39), Master (40-49), Senior (50-59), Veteran (60-69) and Grand Veteran (70+). T-shirts are provided to the first 250 applicants. Bib pick up is at the VFW Hall, 850 Hope St, Bristol, from 9:00 to 10:15 on race morning. Parking is suggested at Guiteras School, on Washington St, or downtown Bristol. The event benefits the Girls Cross Country team at Mt Hope High School. Post-race hospitality includes a bib tear-off for one free pint at The Guild in Warren, valid noon to 5:00 on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
