Ocean Road 10k
The Ocean Road 10k is an annual running and walking event held in Narragansett. The upcoming edition marks the 13th year of the race. The event features a point-to-point course that measures 6.2 miles (10 km). It is established as a flat route that follows the coastline, providing views of the water throughout the duration of the activity.
The course begins at the Pt. Judith Lighthouse and follows Ocean Road. Along the way, participants pass under the Narragansett Towers before reaching the finish line located at the Town Beach. Because the start and finish locations are different, the organizers provide a shuttle service to transport participants to the starting area. Users can also arrange to be dropped off at the starting point.
The event typically accommodates more than 2,000 participants. The field includes both runners and walkers of various speeds. Registration is open to the public, though the event frequently reaches its capacity.
