Registrations include free admission to the Toronto Zoo, allowing participants to remain at the zoo and visit animals after the race. A virtual participation window runs from September 1 to September 30, 2026. The in person distances are sold out; virtual entries remain available.
The event supports the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy with a fundraising goal of CA$110,000. The organizer reports CA$40,975.62 raised to date, equal to 37 percent of the goal. Funds will support the Toronto Zoo’s Blanding’s Turtle Headstart Program and the program's new home within the Community Conservation Centre. That space will serve as a hub for incubation and care and will give guests the opportunity to see hatchlings and learn about conservation programs at the Toronto Zoo.
