Event overview
The Oakland Turkey Trot is the 8th annual 5K and festival of thanks. It takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. The event is organized by a 501(c)(3) organization and benefits the Alameda County Community Food Bank and the Oakland Education Fund. Grant recipients include Running for a Better Oakland.
The event offers finisher medals for adults and children, custom shirts for all events, and on-site art installations, a photo backdrop, mile markers, and a start line banner.
