Oakland Tech 5km/1 mile Race/Run/Walk Fundraiser
This event takes place in Joaquin Miller Park at the Baywood Picnic Site, across from the Joaquin Miller Community Center at 3300 Joaquin Miller Rd, Oakland, CA 94602. It is held on November 1, 2026 and is organized as a fundraiser for the Oakland Tech PTSA.
The program includes two distances:
- 5 km trail race on natural trails through redwood groves
- 1 mile fun run/walk on park trails
The course winds through towering redwoods and uses trail terrain. Funds raised support Oakland Tech student programs and activities. The PTSA directs proceeds to school needs, including support for the Oakland Tech Cross Country team. Support for the team covers meet entry fees, training equipment, nutrition, and travel expenses.
