About the race
Oakland Mt. Lake Park Lions Club Autumn Glory includes a timed 5K run and a separate 2 mile walk held at Broadford Lake in Mnt Lake Park, MD 21550. Long-sleeve T-shirts are available while supplies last; early registration is recommended to guarantee a size. If the event is cancelled, organizers will try to mail shirts to pre-registered participants. The course follows scenery along Broadford Lake, crosses the breast dam, passes Simon Pierce Glass blowing, and returns.
Surfaces include pavement, mowed grass trails, and gravel road. All activities, including race-day registration and packet pick-up, take place outdoors or under an open pavilion, and parking is next to the start and finish areas. Participants should be prepared for the weather. Bibs are recorded manually at the finish; there is no chip timing.
Runners should wear their bib visibly on the front and confirm it has been recorded when exiting the finish chute. Runners may walk but walkers are asked to refrain from running. Awards and random prizes will be presented; details are to be determined. Entry fees are non-refundable, and if circumstances beyond the organizers control require cancellation, pre-registered participants may receive mailed shirts as noted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
