8th Annual Canaan Valley Running Event
The Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K is a road racing event held at the Canaan Valley Resort in Tucker County, West Virginia. Located within the Potomac Highlands, the event offers multiple distances over two days in a mountain setting. The venue is situated near Davis and provides access to local arts, culture, and outdoor activities.
Participants can choose from several distance options available on both Saturday and Sunday:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- 800m Kids Run (Saturday only)
- 16.2 Miles Conquer The Valley Challenge
The Conquer the Valley Challenge allows runners to participate on both days. The competitive division consists of a 5K on Saturday and a Half Marathon on Sunday. Scoring for this division is calculated by tripling the 5K time and adding it to the Half Marathon time. A Just For Fun division is also available for those wishing to run any combination of distances across the weekend.
All participants receive a hat and a finisher medal. Finishers aged 21 and over receive a complementary beer and post-race snacks. The half marathon course includes sections through a golf course, and a general course time limit of 4 hours applies to all distances.
