Event overview
The 8th Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K takes place on April 25-26, 2026. The road race is hosted at Canaan Valley Resort in Tucker County, West Virginia. All distances are offered on both days. A weekend challenge called Conquer the Valley allows participants to run any two distances across the two days; a competitive division awards prizes for runners who complete the 5K first and the half marathon on Sunday, and a fun division is available for other two-race combinations. Entry includes a Tucker County Kids Run on Saturday, open to ages 17 and under.

Location and logistics
The event base is 230 Main Lodge Rd, Davis, WV 26260. Packet pickup is held at Canaan Valley Resort State Park the night before each race and for a limited time on race morning. The course time limit is up to four hours; half marathoners must clear the golf course area near Mile 12 within three and a half hours. All participants receive a Sweet McClumsy hat and a finisher medal. Finishers aged 21 and over receive a complimentary beer and post-race snacks.
