UltraTrax Wisp : Wisp Resort, McHenry MD, April 10, 2027
UltraTrax Wisp is a timed trek over mountain trails based at Wisp Resort in McHenry, Maryland. The revised loop course moves from the resort base up wooded ski runs and service roads into the mountain, then follows single-track, double-track and ridge trails with views across Deep Creek Lake. At the summit runners encounter panoramic mountain views before a technical descent through rock-strewn, tree-lined corridors and ski-trail connectors that return toward the village and resort base.
Participants may choose one of these distances:
- 7 miles
- 14 miles
- 21 miles
- 28 miles
Walkers and runners have 10 hours to complete the course. The route will be well marked. Participants may add a weighted vest or ruck to their outing; weight options listed by the organizer include 10, 20, or 35 lb, and carrying weight can unlock bonus finisher swag. Finishers receive a custom t-shirt, a medal, and a velcro patch. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Food and drinks will be available for purchase after the trek.
