NYRR Staten Island Half
The NYRR Staten Island Half is a Half Marathon held on Staten Island on October 11, 2026, with the start area near the St George Ferry and Richmond Terrace. The course offers views of New York Harbor and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and serves as the grand finale of the 2026 NYRR Five-Borough Series. It is also the sixth and final event in the 2026 4 Out of 6 program, which provides guaranteed entry to the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half for qualifying NYRR members.
Participants receive a long-sleeve New Balance shirt and every finisher is awarded a medal. The race is a qualifier for NYRR entry programs including 9+1 and 4 Out of 6. Live, unofficial runner tracking will be available through the NYRR app during the event and official results are posted afterward.
Race logistics note that organizers recommend using the Staten Island Ferry from Manhattan's Whitehall Terminal because parking will be extremely limited. Bibs may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street. Only clear bags no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep are permitted at bag check; NYRR is not responsible for lost or damaged items left in bag check.
Prize money is offered in the NYRR Member Division with awards of $800, $600, $300, $200, and $100 for first through fifth place respectively, plus a $500 award for the top Staten Island finisher who meets membership requirements. To be eligible for member prize money and time bonuses, athletes must meet NYRR membership and time standards set by the organizer.
If authorities cancel the event, entrants will be notified and the event will not be rescheduled. Entry fees are non refundable and may not be deferred or transferred. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
