NYC Gaza 5K 2026
The NYC Gaza 5K is a community walk and run organized by UNRWA USA to raise funds for mental health counseling and trauma support for Palestine refugee children in the Gaza Strip. The event has been held since 2012 and brings people together to reflect, honor lives lost, and offer mutual support.
Participants may join in person at Prospect Park in Brooklyn or take part virtually. Finishers receive a medal and participants can earn fundraising perks based on the amount they raise. Fundraising is central to the event; the campaign aims to raise $500,000 by October 11 to support UNRWA mental health counselors who provide individual and group counseling for children coping with trauma.
Packet pick-up is available during NYC Gaza 5K week at three locations before the event:
- Packet Pick-Up: Thursday, October 8, 6–8 p.m. Ayat Ditmas Park
- Packet Pick-Up: Friday, October 9, 12–2 p.m. Ayat Bushwick
- Packet Pick-Up: Friday, October 9, 6–8 p.m. Ayat Astoria
Race-day packet pick-up and fundraising perk collection are available on the day of the event at the Nethermead Lawn in Prospect Park. Registration is required for all types of participation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
