NYRR Gridiron 4M Presented by The FLAG Art Foundation
The NYRR Gridiron 4M is a football-themed, scored road race held in Central Park, Manhattan on February 7, 2027. The course covers 4 miles and serves as a 9+1 program qualifier; the event is open to runners ages 8 and up. Registration for this edition is listed as sold out.
The race incorporates football-related features along the route, including a game-day predictor and a longest football throw contest. Participants are invited to wear team jerseys. Each year The FLAG Art Foundation commissions an artist to design a commemorative race T-shirt; FLAG supports contemporary art programs that are free and open to the public and is based in Manhattan’s Chelsea art district.
Race services and policies noted for this event include race number pickup at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street, live unofficial results and runner tracking via the NYRR App, and official results posted after the event. Awards are presented on site to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age-group awards may be claimed after the race through NYRR’s awards process.
NYRR provides reasonable accommodations for participants with disabilities and offers a Member-Only Standby List that invites active NYRR members to register on a first-come, first-served basis if entries become available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
