NYRR BK 5K at Prospect Park

The NYRR BK 5K is a scored five kilometer road race held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on May 5, 2026. The event was formerly known as the NYRR Brooklyn R-U-N 5K and now carries the NYRR BK 5K name. It serves as a 9+1 program qualifier.

Race operations include advance bib pickup at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub in Manhattan on multiple dates in late April and early May, and on-site number pickup and bag check at Race-Day Central located at the Nethermead in Prospect Park. All participants receive a New Balance shirt at number pickup. Proxy pickup is permitted with the runner's QR code and matching photo identification. Bag check accepts only clear bags no larger than 17 inches by 20 inches by 7 inches.

Live, unofficial runner tracking will be available in the NYRR app during the event and official results will be posted afterward. Awards are presented on site to the top three overall finishers in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age-group placers may claim awards after the race through NYRR procedures.
