NYRR BK 5K : Prospect Park, New York
The NYRR BK 5K is a scored five-kilometer road race held in Prospect Park on May 5, 2026. The event was formerly known as the NYRR Brooklyn R-U-N 5K. The race is a 9+1 program qualifier and awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age-group award claim procedures are available after the event.
Registration for this edition is sold out. The Member-Only Standby List is full; members who joined the standby list may be selected and receive a non-complimentary invitation code up to 48 hours before the event.
Race materials and participant items are distributed at number pickup; a New Balance shirt is provided at pickup. Bib pickup is offered at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street on multiple dates in late April and early May, with an additional pickup option after the NYRR Mindful 5K on May 2. Race-day pickup and bag check are available at Race-Day Central in the Nethermead; bag check requires a clear bag no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep. Water is available on course and at the finish, and oat bars will be provided post-finish.
Live, unofficial results and runner tracking will be available through the NYRR app; official results are posted after the event. Entry fees are non-refundable and events will not be rescheduled if canceled by authorities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
