NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon : October 17, 2026
The event is a half marathon held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The course is USATF certified and is run on loops of Prospect Park. The half marathon route covers just under four full loops of the park, with runners passing Center Drive three times before a final left turn and sprint up Center Drive to the finish. Race results will be emailed and posted online after the event.
Course, logistics and amenities
The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is the site for bib and shirt pickup, bag check, and post-race refreshments. The race finishes at the Nethermead on Center Drive. Start corrals are pace-based and assigned by letter (AA-F); corral locations are on Well House Drive and assignments appear on the bib. Runners must use a single clear bag for bag check; organizers reserve the right to search bag contents. Portable bathrooms, on-course hydration and post-race water, electrolyte fluids, bagels and fruit are provided. A tech race shirt is distributed on race day; finisher medals are given after the race. One complimentary race photo is provided with options to purchase additional photos.
Awards, travel and policies
Awards: top three male, female and non-binary overall (gun time) and top three in each age group (net/chip time) across standard age brackets from 19 and under to 80 and over. Handcycle and wheelchair athletes are not advised due to course turns. Mass transit is recommended; nearby subway services include S, Q, F and G trains and bus service includes the B68 and B16. Parking is limited; a suggested drop-off point is 101 Prospect Park Southwest. The standard no-refunds, no-transfers policy applies; NYCRUNS members have race credit withdrawal options.
