NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon : Prospect Park, Brooklyn (Oct 17, 2026)
The event is a Half Marathon held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on October 17, 2026. The course is USATF certified and consists of just under four full loops of the park with repeated passages of Center Drive and a final left turn to the finish. Start corrals are pace based (letters AA-F) and located on Well House Drive.
The Festival Area is in the park’s Nethermead and serves as the location for bib pickup, gear check, and shirt distribution on race day. Bib pickup on race day requires a unique QR code; NYCRUNS members may have bibs mailed at no cost and non-members can add mailed bibs for an additional fee. Handcycle and wheelchair athletes are advised not to register for this course because of the number of turns.
Race services, awards, pricing and policies
On-course hydration and electrolyte fluids are provided, with cans of smartwater available at the finish. Portable bathrooms, bag check (single clear bag required), post-race bagels and fruit, a tech race shirt (sizes not guaranteed), a finisher’s medal, and one complimentary race photo are listed as event amenities. Photos beyond the complimentary image are available for purchase.
Results will be emailed and posted online. Overall awards go to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers by gun time; age-group awards (top three by net/chip time) are given in these groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over. The organizer applies a standard no-refunds, no-transfers policy; NYCRUNS members have withdrawal-for-credit options and receive a 10% race discount.
