Event overview

The NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half marathon takes place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The course is USATF certified and is run on multiple loops of the park. Start corrals are pace-based and assigned by letter (AA-F); corral locations are on Well House Drive. Bibs are available for pick up on race day in the Festival Area, or can be mailed in advance to eligible NYCRUNS members or paid registrants who meet the mailing deadline and U.S. address requirement.

Course and race-day services

The half marathon route consists of just under four full loops of the park with multiple passes of Center Drive and a final left turn to the finish. The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is the site for bib pickup, shirt distribution, bag check, and post-race services. Bag check requires a single clear bag provided or accepted by the organizer. Portable bathrooms will be available. Water and electrolyte fluids are provided on course, with electrolyte fluids and cans of smartwater at the finish. Post-race food options include bagels with spread and fresh fruit. A TECH SHIRT is distributed on race day only and finisher medals are presented after the finish. Runners receive one complimentary photo with options to purchase additional photos.

Rules, awards and access

Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall (gun time) and to the top three in each age group (net/chip time) from 19 and under through 80 and over. Strollers and dogs are not allowed. Handcycle and wheelchair athletes are not advised for this course due to numerous turns. Results are posted online after the race.
