NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon

The NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon takes place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The event features a USATF-certified course that allows participants to view the autumnal foliage of the park during the peak running season.

The Half Marathon course consists of nearly four full loops of Prospect Park, concluding with a final sprint up Center Drive. Participants pass Center Drive three times before making a final turn toward the finish line. Due to the high number of turns on this specific course, it is not recommended for handcycle or wheelchair athletes.

The festival area is located in the Nethermead and serves as the hub for race day activities, including bib pickup, gear check, and post-race refreshments. Amenities for participants include:

  • Half Marathon (USATF-certified)

The event uses a pace-based corral system for the start, with assignments ranging from AA to F based on the runner's profile. On-course support includes hydration stations providing water and electrolyte fluids. After crossing the finish line, participants receive a finisher medal and post-race refreshments such as bagels and fresh fruit. All registrants receive a technical shirt, which must be collected on race day.

Bib distribution occurs on the morning of the race in the festival area. Participants must present a unique QR code to collect their materials. Mass transit is the recommended method of travel, with several subway and bus stations located near the park entrances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
