Event overview
The NYC Holiday race at Fort Hamilton takes place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Brooklyn, NY (100th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway / John Warren Avenue, ZIP 11209). The event offers three distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The event is held on Fort Hamilton Base, which is described as the oldest operating military base in the US. The course runs through historic grounds and passes stone walls, cannons, tanks, and a site linked to the Battle of Brooklyn. The finish is at the foot of the Verazanno Bridge.
Course, timing and logistics
Course format:
- Half Marathon: three laps of a 4.36 mile loop.
- 10K: two laps of a 3.1 mile loop.
- 5K: one lap of a 3.1 mile loop.
Every loop is timed in real time so participants can be tracked each time they complete a loop. Start and finish are at the same point just inside the base entrance.
