Nun Run for Cancer
The Nun Run for Cancer is the 6th annual fundraising event in Peoria, Illinois, scheduled for May 1, 2027. The event supports the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute and is inspired by the mission of the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis to serve people with care and compassion. The event venue is RC Outfitters at 311 Southwest Water Street, Peoria, IL.
Distances and participation options include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk (untimed)
- Virtual runner option with t-shirt and medal
Registration fees vary by event and age category. Participants in the 5K are asked to complete the full course; the 1 Mile option is provided for those who prefer a shorter walk. A virtual participation option allows people to take part remotely while receiving event apparel and a medal.
Packet pickup is available at RC Outfitters on days around the event, with pickup permitted for friends and family. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing. Awards include overall top male and female (gun time) and age group awards for top male and female in multiple age brackets; awards will be mailed after the event.
