Nun Run for Cancer
The Nun Run for Cancer is the sixth annual fundraising event held in Peoria, Illinois. The event supports the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute, and proceeds are directed to services, treatments, and patient support provided by the institute. The event is based at RC Outfitters on Southwest Water Street in Peoria and takes place on May 1, 2027.
Participants may choose from multiple participation options:
- 5K Run and Walk
- 1 Mile Run and Walk (untimed)
- Virtual runner option
There are separate registration categories for youth 12 and under. Registration fees vary by date and category and include early bird and later pricing periods. Packet pickup is available at RC Outfitters on the two days before the event and on race day at the same location. Timing and scoring for the event are provided by ShaZam Racing.
Awards are provided to the top overall male and female based on gun time, and age group awards are given to the top male and female in each listed age division based on net time. There is no awards ceremony; awards are mailed after the event. A group of local organizations and businesses sponsor the event, and fundraising components and team options are part of the event structure.
