Nun Run for Cancer : Peoria, IL
The Nun Run for Cancer is the fifth annual fundraiser held on May 2, 2026, in Peoria, Illinois. The event supports the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute; proceeds help fund treatments, supportive services, and cancer care close to home.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk (untimed)
- Virtual runner option with t-shirt and medal
- Youth entries for participants 12 and under
Packet pickup is available at RC Outfitters, 311 Southwest Water Street, Peoria, on the days before the event and on race day at the same location. Race timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing.
Awards are given for overall top male and female by gun time, and for top male and female in age groups (18 & under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & over) by net time. There is no awards ceremony; awards will be mailed after the event.
The event is presented in the spirit of the Mission of the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis to serve people with care and compassion, bringing together participants, families, and supporters to benefit cancer care services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
