Event Details
The Nun Run for Cancer is a community event in its fifth year. It takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at RC Outfitters on Southwest Water Street in Peoria, Illinois. The event raises funds for the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute, with all proceeds supporting cancer care services for patients and families.
Distances
Participants can choose from the following options:
- A timed 5K run/walk.
- An untimed 1 mile run/walk.
- A virtual participation option for those who cannot attend in person, which includes a t-shirt and medal.
There are specific registration categories and pricing for participants aged 12 and under for both the 5K and 1-mile distances. Event timing and scoring are managed by ShaZam Racing.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at RC Outfitters on the Thursday and Friday before the event, as well as on race day. Awards are given for the top overall male and female finishers (gun time) and the top male and female finishers in several age groups (net time).
