The Chocolate Turkey 3 Mile and 1 Mile Walk for Elite
The Chocolate Turkey is a Thanksgiving Day running and walking event held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Peoria, Illinois at RC Outfitters on Southwest Water Street. The event is organized by ShaZam Racing and RC Outfitters and benefits Elite Community Outreach, a 501c3 based in Peoria. The fundraiser shows a goal of $5,000 and a current reported amount raised of $27.48.

Race participants receive a triblend raglan long sleeve crewneck shirt, a 3.5 ounce solid chocolate turkey, and post race chocolate treats while supplies last. Race swag is limited to 2,500 participants. Packet pickup is available on the two days before the event and with very limited pickup on race day at RC Outfitters. Race photography is provided by the race sponsor for donors to Elite Community Outreach; donors receive race photos and a race video.
Award details note overall male and female awards for each distance and age group awards for top finishers. Awards are Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory items and special creations. There will not be an awards ceremony; placed participants should check published results and claim awards at the results table or at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store within the stated pickup window.
