NSRF The Dad Bod 5K & 10K
The Never Stop Running Foundation Dad Bod 5K & 10K is an athletic event held at Rockaway Beach in New York. The course is situated on the boardwalk, offering a scenic out and back route for participants. The event proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports athletic events, community involvement, and the development of elite athletes.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run/Walk
The 5K course consists of a single out and back loop, while the 10K distance requires participants to complete two loops. Those participating in the 10K must pass through the finish line mats on each loop to ensure accurate split and finish times. Water stations are located at the turn-around point and the finish line. Public water fountains are also available along the boardwalk.
The event features several amenities, including an informal area for personal belongings in the staging area and bathrooms located within a short walk from the start and finish lines. Refreshments such as sparkling water and bakery products are provided at the finish line. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available, allowing runners to log their times and upload photos over a one-week period.
Age group recognition is available for the top overall male, female, and non-binary finishers, as well as the top finishers in various age categories ranging from 14 and under to 90 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
