Dad Bod 5K & 10K - Rockaway Beach
The event takes place on the boardwalk at Rockaway Beach in Far Rockaway, NY and offers two official distances:
- 5K - out and back loop along the boardwalk
- 10K - two loops of the same out and back course
The course uses timing mats; 10K participants must cross the finish-line mats on each loop for accurate split and finish times. Water is available at the turn-around and at the finish line; 10K runners pass water stations twice. Public water fountains are present along the route. Porta-johns are located near the finish and public restrooms are available along the boardwalk.
On-site amenities include an informal bag check area, hydration at the finish, and post-race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A mailed bib option is available for a fee if registration is completed at least 10 days before the event. When worn, bibs should be visible on the mid-torso above the belly button and secured with four pins or equivalent.
A virtual participation option allows entrants to log a time and up to five photos during the event week; participant items begin shipping the first day of the event. Live online, email, and text results are provided along with same-day finish-line photos.
A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; 100% of donations and fundraising directly impact NSRF. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
