NSRF The Awesome 80's Prospect Park Half Marathon & 5K
The event is scheduled for July 5, 2026 at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, with the Grecian Center (the Peristyle) used as the meeting, finish, and bib pickup location. It offers both in-person and virtual participation options. In-person entrants can request bib mailing for an additional fee if registered at least ten days before the race.
Distances:
- Half Marathon, four loops of the USATF certified 5K course.
- 5K, one loop of the USATF certified course.
The 5K is a certified loop in Prospect Park. The half marathon comprises four loops of that same course and has a cutoff time of 2:45 hours; runners must begin their final lap by 2:05 hours. Pacers are provided to help guide participants toward target paces.
Amenities include a cassette tee and finisher medal for participants, informal bag check in the staging area, restrooms within a few minutes walk of start and finish, hydration at the finish, and refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Results are available online with same-day finish line photos and video.
A portion of event proceeds and optional donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Registrations are non refundable; a purchase protection option is available for qualifying unforeseen circumstances for an additional fee.
