The Queens New Year's Eve 5K takes place on December 31, 2025, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens. The event is held rain or shine and includes an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development.
Course, amenities and logistics
The course is a USATF certified 5K laid out as a three-loop route in Flushing Meadows Corona Park with split times for each loop. Parking is available at the Queens Museum/Meridian Road area with a walk to the Queens Theater. Amenities include informal bag check, bathrooms within a few minutes walk plus porto-johns near the finish, hydration at the finish line, and refreshments provided by event sponsors. Live online results and same-day finish-line photos are offered. Bib mailing is available for an additional fee when requested in advance. Virtual participants may upload times and up to five photos during the event window and receive mailed race items. Headlamps are required for participation.
