Event overview
The Queens New Year’s Eve 5K is a 5K run/walk held in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens on December 31, 2025. The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual 5K option. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Course and competition
The course is a USATF-certified 5K and uses a three-loop route in Flushing Meadows Corona Park with split times provided for each loop. Results include online recognition for top 1 in Female/Male/X categories overall and for the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90+.
Logistics and amenities
Parking is available at the Queens Museum and Queens Theater; the staging area is near the Queens Theater. An informal bag-check area will be available. Bathrooms are within a few minutes’ walk and porta-johns will be located near the finish and the NYC Parks building. Hydration is provided at the finish line. Event refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A headlamp is listed as mandatory for the run.
Registration and virtual participation
Registration includes in-person and virtual options, with an available bib mailing for an additional fee if requested at least 10 days before the race.
