May the 4th Be With You 5K (NSRF)
This event is a themed community running event at Merrick Lands / Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, New York, with a main 5K and a free kids dash held prior to the 5K. The course uses repeated loops at the park: one loop to the 1K mark and five loops total for the 5K. Participants are asked to run through the finish-line timing mats on each loop for accurate split and finish times.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, on-site bathrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, hydration provided at the finish line, and postrace refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. There is a virtual participation option that allows participants to log a time and up to five photos during a one-week window starting on the event day; virtual entrants receive mailed race items when available.
Bib options include in-person pickup with event staff on race day and a mail option for a $10 fee when requested at least ten days before the event. Parking areas are indicated on the event site map. Age-group recognition is provided online for overall top finishers and for age groups from 14 and under through 90 plus.
