May the 4th Be With You 5K is a themed community running event held at Merrick Lands / Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, New York, at 3340 Merrick Rd. The event takes place on May 4 and includes a main 5K and a free kids dash.

The course uses loops: 1 loop to reach the 1K marker and 5 loops to complete the 5K. Participants are asked to run through the finish line mats on each loop for accurate split and finish times and for photo syncing.
Onsite amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes walk from the start and finish, hydration at the finish line, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A virtual option is available; virtual participants have from the first day of the event and a full week to log a time and up to five photos. Race items begin shipping the first day of the event and virtual bibs are mailed as gear becomes available; allow a few days for delivery after late registration.
In-person bib pickup is available and there is also an option to have a bib mailed for a $10 fee if registered at least 10 days in advance. Live online, email, and text results are provided along with free video and same-day finish line photos.
One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports Special Needs and Youth running events and athlete development. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
