The event called May the 4th Be With You 5K is held on May 4 at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, New York. The gathering includes a main 5K and a free kids dash scheduled 30 minutes before the 5K.

The course uses loops at Merrick Lands / Cedar Creek Park: one loop to the 1K and five loops to complete the 5K. Runners are asked to run through the finish line mats on each loop so split and finish times and photos sync correctly.
On-site amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes walk of the start and finish, and hydration at the finish line. High quality refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A virtual option is available; virtual participants have from the first day of the event and a full week to log a time and up to five photos. Race items begin shipping the first day of the event and mailed bibs are available.
Top finishers receive online age-group recognition, with awards for overall top positions and specified age brackets. One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting special needs and youth running programs.
