It's Our Only Earth Day 5K NSRF 2027
This event is a community 5K held in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, New York, presented to raise awareness for environmental preservation. The course is a USATF certified 5K routed through tree lined bike paths in the Merrick Lands section of the park. The event lists an in person option and a virtual option; virtual participants have a seven day window from the event date to log a time and may submit up to five photos, and event gear for virtual entries ships beginning on the event date.
Amenities include an event t-shirt, informal bag check in the staging area, bathroom access within a few minutes walk from the start and finish, hydration provided at the finish, and refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bibs can be mailed for a $10 fee if registration is completed at least ten days before the race; mailed bibs for later registrants are sent when race gear ships.
Age group recognition is provided online with top finishers recognized overall and in standard age categories, including 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, 80 to 89, and 90 plus. One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports special needs and youth running events and athlete development.
