It's Our Only Earth Day 5K (NSRF)
It's Our Only Earth Day 5K is a community running event held in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY. The event features a USATF certified 5K course through tree lined bike paths in the Merrick Lands area and includes a free kiddie dash. The event is presented to celebrate and bring awareness to preserving the environment.
Event amenities include an official event T-shirt, informal bag check in the staging area, bathrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, hydration at the finish, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A virtual option is available; virtual participants have a full week to log a time and may submit up to five photos. Race items begin shipping on the first day of the event.
Bib options are offered in person or by mail for a $10 fee if registered at least 10 days in advance; virtual entrants receive mailed bibs when race gear ships. Organizers provide guidance on bib placement for accurate read rates. Registration is not yet open and organizers offer notification when registration becomes available.
One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports special needs and youth running events and helps develop athletes.
