It's Our Only Earth Day 5K NSRF
This event stages a USATF certified 5K through the tree-lined bike paths in Eisenhower Park, Merrick Lands, East Meadow. It is presented with an emphasis on celebrating and bringing awareness to preserving the environment. A free Kiddie Dash is offered in addition to the main 5K.
The event includes a virtual option; participants have the event start day plus a full week to log a time and submit up to five photos. Bib mailing is available for a $10 fee if registration occurs at least ten days in advance. Virtual participants receive race gear and a mailed bib as items become available; later sign-ups should allow a few days for delivery.
On-site amenities include an informal bag check area, nearby restrooms within a short walk of the start and finish, hydration at the finish, and refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. An event t-shirt is available.
Results and media are published online with live results by email or text, free video, and same-day finish line photos. Age-group recognition is provided online for top finishers by category, including overall and multiple age divisions. Registration for the next edition is not yet open.
