Great Easter Basket 5K & 10K NSRF
The event is a road run and walk at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens with start and finish near the Queens Theater. The course visits the Unisphere twice and runs around the Fountain of the Planets. The 5K course is USATF certified.
Distances:
- 5K one loop, USATF certified
- 10K two loops, must cross finish each loop
Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, and porto-johns near the finish and the NYC Parks building on the east side of the course. Hydration is provided at the finish line. High quality refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive a bunny tee and a finisher medal.
Pace groups run the 5K from about 20 to 30 minutes and the 10K from about 40 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes. Live online, email and text results are provided, along with same-day finish line photos and free video.
A virtual option allows participants to log a time and up to five photos within one full week beginning on the event start day; event items begin shipping the first day of the event. Bibs can be mailed for a fee if registered at least ten days before the event.
One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports athletic and charitable programs and athlete development. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
