Great Easter Basket 5K & 10K NSRF
This annual spring running event takes place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park with start and finish near the Queens Theater. The course visits the Unisphere twice and runs around the Fountain of the Planets. The USATF certified 5K is a single loop; the 10K consists of two loops and requires runners to pass through the finish line each loop for accurate timing and photos.

Finishers receive a medal and an event tee. Hydration is provided at the finish line and refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. An informal bag check area is available in the staging area but the organizer does not assume responsibility for personal items. Bathrooms are within a few minutes walk from the start and finish; additional porto johns are located near the finish and the NYC Parks building on the east side of the course.
Pacing groups are offered for both distances, with 5K pacers from roughly 20 to 30 minutes and 10K pacers from roughly 40 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes. A virtual option allows participants to log a time and upload up to five photos during the event week; event items begin shipping on the first day of the event. Bibs can be mailed for a fee if requested sufficiently in advance or picked up in person near the Queens Theater before the event.
