Abominable 5K & 10K NSRF
The event offers two race distances in Flushing Meadows Corona Park as part of the NYC Parks Winter Series, stop number three at this park.

The course is a USATF certified 5K that passes the Unisphere twice and runs around the Fountain of the Planets. Start and finish are on the north side of the Queens Theater. The 10K is two loops of the 5K course; 10K participants must cross the finish mats on each loop for accurate split times and synced finish-line photos.
On-site amenities include an informal bag check area, portable toilets near the finish, and a nearby NYC Parks building bathroom located just after mile 2. Hydration is provided at the finish, and refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive an Abominable tee and a free kiddie dash is offered for children.
A virtual option lets participants record and submit times from the event start day through the following week and upload up to five photos. Bibs can be mailed for a fee of $10 if registered at least 10 days in advance; in-person bib pick up is available from event staff on race day. Live online results and same-day finish-line photos are provided.
