Abominable 5K & 10K NSRF : Flushing Meadows Corona Park
The event stages timed 5K and 10K runs in Flushing Meadows Corona Park as part of the NYC Parks Winter Series stop. The 5K course is USATF certified and the 10K is two loops of that course. Start and finish are located on the north side of Queens Theater near several park landmarks including the Unisphere and the Fountain of the Planets.

- 5K - USATF certified course, one loop
- 10K - two loops of the 5K course
On-site amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes' walk, porta-johns near the finish, and hydration at the finish line. High quality refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive an Abominable tee and snacks.
The event offers a virtual option. Virtual participants have from the event start day through one week to submit a time and may upload up to five photos. Bibs can be mailed for an additional fee if requested within the organizer's mailing deadline; virtual bibs are mailed when race gear is available.
Online results, same-day finish line photos, and video are provided. Age-group online recognition is awarded for overall top finishers and across multiple age categories. Proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
