Event overview
The Neuse Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition, Inc. (NPSWC), a 501(c)(3) organization, will hold the 10th annual March for Sickle Cell as a hybrid run/walk on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The event includes both in-person and virtual options at Union Point Park, 210 E Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560. Virtual participants must submit their timing information by the end of the day on March 14, 2026.

Event timing and results are provided by a professional race timer, Run The East, LLC. The event will use the RaceJoy mobile app for live phone tracking, GPS progress alerts, and remote spectator features; participants must carry a phone and activate tracking to use RaceJoy.
Registration, fees and logistics
Early bird registration is available through January 24, 2026 for $30. Regular registration is $35 after that date. Children ages 10 and under register for $15. A military discount is offered during early bird registration at $25 with code "Military5off". Early packet pickup is scheduled for March 13, 2026 at Coastal Sole, 4149 Dr. ML King, Jr. Blvd., New Bern, NC.
Awards and use of proceeds
Medals will be awarded to male and female finishers in 1st and 2nd places across age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Funds raised are intended for local support related to sickle cell treatment, transportation, and daily expenses for affected patients and families.
