About the race

The Neuse River Bridge Run 2027 takes place April 30 to May 8, 2027, in New Bern, North Carolina. The event uses Union Point Park and the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center as focal locations and routes travel through downtown and nearby historic neighborhoods.

The event offers both in-person and virtual options across multiple distances, including a SuperKids Fun Run and adult races. Courses include routes over bridges and through parts of the city.

The event’s stated mission is to promote a healthy, active lifestyle while directing financial support to community organizations. Five nonprofit beneficiaries share 100 percent of the net revenue generated by the event. Those beneficiaries together serve more than 100,000 residents of eastern North Carolina.

Additional event features listed by the organizer include course maps for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K, volunteer and sponsorship opportunities, and a virtual event option that replicates each in-person race for remote participants.
