Neuse River Bridge Run 2026
The Neuse River Bridge Run is held in New Bern from May 1 to May 9, 2026, with in-person activities on May 1 and May 2. The event includes both in-person and virtual options and offers multiple race distances.

In-person 1/2 Marathon and 10K courses include a run over the Neuse River Bridge. All three road courses cross the George Cunningham Bridge and travel through historic neighborhoods and downtown New Bern, finishing on East Front Street in front of the Riverfront Convention Center.
Five local nonprofit organizations benefit from the event; these organizations equally share 100% of the net revenue. Official timing for in-person events is provided by Run the East, and chip-enabled bibs are required and distributed at race-kit pick-up at the Riverfront Convention Center.
Virtual events run from May 1 to May 9, 2026. Virtual races are not officially timed and do not receive place medals; half marathon virtual participants receive a finisher medal. Virtual race kits may be picked up at the Riverfront Convention Center or shipped for a fee of $7.95; the first mail date is April 20.
