Event overview

The Neuse River Bridge Run 2026 takes place in historic downtown New Bern with in-person events on May 1-2, 2026 and virtual events from May 1-9, 2026. Race routes run over local bridges and through historic neighborhoods, with in-person half marathon and 10K courses including a run over the Neuse River Bridge. All in-person courses include a crossing of the George Cunningham Bridge over the Trent River and finish on East Front Street in front of the Riverfront Convention Center of Craven County.

Registration, timing and benefits

In-person events use chip-enabled timing provided by Run the East. Virtual events are not timed; virtual results can be reported via the RaceJoy app or the event website. Registration prices (early through February 28; increase March 1) are: Half Marathon $70, 10K $55, 5K $45, SuperKids $20. Virtual fees match in-person fees; virtual participants may pay $7.95 for shipping of race kits (first mail date April 20). Age minimums are noted for some events (half marathon 10+, 10K and 5K 7+). Awards: top three finishers in in-person races receive medals by gender and age-group awards are given; half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal. Net revenue is shared equally by five beneficiary organizations: Craven Community College Foundation, The Filling Station, Duffyfield Phoenix Project, Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina, and Twin River YMCA.
