Notchtoberfest, Windsor MA
Notchtoberfest is a 24 hour trail event held October 9–10, 2027 in Windsor, MA and organized by BURCS. The event is presented as an invitational fatass with half of the available spots reserved for volunteers, past participants, and staff; remaining spots open for general registration on August 20, 2027.
Early entry is available to those who meet one of the following criteria:
- Completed or volunteered in at least six Notchview Ultras.
- Raced or volunteered in three in person events this season, or three or more virtual events.
- Current or former BURCS race director.
The course is a groomed 1.9 mile perimeter loop around Notchview. The loop passes an aid station each lap and there is access to bathrooms and running water. The event follows a minimal aid model: organizers will provide water, leftover gatorade powder, and a microwave for warming in the evening; participants should plan to carry other supplies they need.
There is no chip timing; runners are responsible for tallying their own laps and recording their finishing time, with a penalty lap for laps not counted. Camping is allowed the night before while participants remain guests of Notchview and are asked to clean up, use garbage cans, and limit noise. Proceeds after costs will be donated to the Trustees of Reservations at Notchview. A 10 percent discount code SERVICE! is available for first responders, current and former military, and public servants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
