Event overview
The Gorge après Gorge is an annual community event held on the Sunday after Thanksgiving at Chesterfield Gorge Reservation, River Road, Chesterfield, MA. The event includes a timed trail 5k run, a free Family Fun Walk, and a new kid’s race. All finishers receive a locally baked cookie medal, and top finishers receive hand-knit or crocheted hat prizes.

Course, amenities, and purpose
The course is a well-marked out-and-back on a dirt fireroad along the Wild and Scenic Westfield River. The route is described as slightly hilly and rocky. After the run and walk, participants are offered hot beverages and a community potluck with baked goods. Reusable mugs are encouraged and reusable mugs are available for purchase at the event.
Registration proceeds benefit Hilltown Land Trust. The event is family-oriented and organized with volunteer support for roles such as course tending, timing, and handing out cookie medals.
