Event overview
The Northern Trails Trail Race is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Northern Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event offers multiple on-course distances and participation options for runners and ruckers, plus virtual entries.

In addition to standard race entries, the event lists ruck categories for each distance, economy (no-frills) entry options, and virtual race choices. The race is part of the North Carolina Trail Mega Medal Series; finisher medals from the series connect to form a larger Mega Medal.
Registration, inclusions, and policies
Regular, economy, and virtual registration tiers are available. Registration items include a custom race shirt, a finisher medal, chip timing with course splits and live results, race photos, aid stations, post-race food and beverages, and live participant tracking via the RaceJoy app. Virtual entries are included in a virtual leaderboard; virtual packets may be picked up locally or mailed for a $10 fee (international shipping extra).
Refund and transfer rules: no refunds will be issued within 30 days of the event. Earlier than 30 days, a request may be made for a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee. Entries cannot be deferred to another event or year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
