Belews Lake Sprint Distance Triathlon & Multisport Race

Scheduled for Saturday April 18, 2026 at Carolina Marina in Stokesdale, NC, this multisport event offers sprint-distance triathlon, duathlon and aquabike options around Belews Lake.

Distances include:

• Triathlon: 750 meter swim, 14.5 mile bike, 5 kilometer run
• Duathlon: 2 mile run, 14.5 mile bike, 5 kilometer run
• Aquabike: 750 meter swim, 14.5 mile bike

The swim takes place in clear, sandy-bottom water with an in-water start at the boat launch on a triangular course. Participants exit the water to run about 50 yards to transition. A 100 yard swim time is required for swim-seeding; swim caps are mandatory for safety. The bike is a two-loop route on smooth rural roads with a few hills, and intersections are staffed by police and volunteers with directional signage. The run is two loops on smooth roads with rolling hills and lake views; aid stations are positioned approximately every 1 mile.

Event services include early packet pickup at Fleet Feet Greensboro, parking directed by volunteers close to the staging area, chip timing with five timing-point splits, post-race food and drink, event shirts and finisher medals. Awards are given to top overall and age-group placers, with age groups in five-year increments from 14 and under through 80 plus, plus collegiate, Athenas, Clydesdales, masters Clydesdales and top relay team awards.

Refund and transfer policies: no refunds within 30 days of the event; requests earlier than 30 days may receive a 50% refund of the entry fee excluding processing fees. Entries cannot be deferred to another year. Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee and t-shirt sizes cannot be changed. If the race is canceled for reasons beyond the race committee's control, refunds will not be made but race packets and shirts will be made available at a location to be determined.
