Northern Men's 6 Stage, Women's 4 Stage and Young Athletes Road Relay Championships 2026

The championships take place on 20 September 2026 at Silksworth Sports Complex, Sunderland SR3 1PD. The event is held under UKA rules with licence number to be announced.

Race programme and distances:

• Men's 6 Stage Relay: six stages of approximately 5 km each.
• Women's 4 Stage Relay: four stages of approximately 5 km each.
• Young Athletes relays: U14 and U16 three-stage legs of 2.5 miles, U18 events 5 km.

Team and entry rules are set by the organiser. Clubs may enter multiple teams. Maximum named athletes per team for selection are:

• Men: 18 names
• Women: 12 names
• Young Athletes: 9 names

Only Northern Athletics affiliated clubs and first claim club members registered with England Athletics may be entered. England Athletics registration numbers must be provided. Foreign athletes must be registered with UKA as foreign athletes; clubs may enter many but only two foreign athletes may run in any team. Team declarations and changes are accepted online only up to the day of the event; there are no facilities for team declarations or changes at registration.

Awards include medals for the first three A teams and for the fastest leg; bronze medals will be awarded to the first B team to finish. The men's event acts as a qualifying race for the ERRA 6 Stage Championships with entry limits for successful clubs. Entry fees: £66 per men's team, £44 per women's team, £33 per young athletes team.
