Northeast Family YMCA Thanksgiving Turkey Trot
The Northeast Family YMCA hosts its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot in Louisville, Kentucky. The 2026 event marks the 56th running and is presented by Publix. The program includes an open 5k Turkey Trot and a separate Kids Trot held on a football field near the finish area.
The Kids Trot serves children aged 2 to 10 with age based heats and a special Ultimate Challenge option. Race order and heat announcements are made on site. Registration periods and entry fees are set for each event as specified by the organizer.

- 3.1 Miles Turkey Trot 5k
- Ages 3-4 1 length of the football field
- Ages 5-6 1 lap around the football field
- Ages 7-8 2 laps around the football field
- Ages 9-10 2 laps around the football field
- Ultimate Challenge any child may complete 4 laps
