Throo the Boo
Throo the Boo is a multi-day event at the Louisville Zoo address 1100 Trevilian Way, Louisville, KY 40213, US, taking place from November 7 to November 21, 2026. The event offers an in-person Fun Run and a Virtual Fun Run, each covering a 3K distance.
The in-person Throo the Boo Fun Run follows the Zoo's Boo at the Zoo route and goes through the Zoo. Participants pass Halloween characters and seasonal decorations along the course. Included for in-person participants are a t-shirt, a finisher's medal, a post-race party, and a ticket to return to the Zoo for daytime visits.
The Virtual Throo the Boo Fun Run lets participants complete the 3K on their own at a location of their choice. The virtual race packet includes a race medal. Virtual registrants have the option to add a cotton t-shirt or a long-sleeve shirt for an additional fee.
Registration windows and fees for each event are as follows. The in-person Fun Run registration opens June 15, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026 with a registration fee of $30.00. The virtual Fun Run registration opens June 15, 2026 and closes August 31, 2026 with a registration fee of $25.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
