Copperfield Caretaker 5k
The Copperfield Caretaker 5k is the fourth annual community 5k held in the hilly Copperfield neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The event takes place on 11/07/2026 at 406 Wickfield Dr and offers a single distance of 3.1 miles as a run or walk.
The event honors caretakers and includes a dedicated "purple mile" to recognize people with Alzheimer’s and those in need of memory care. All donations are directed to KIPDA Aging and Disability, which helps feed and support thousands of older residents with meals and care.
Registration opens on 04/13/2026 and closes on 11/07/2026. The published registration fee is $15.00. Top three male and top three female finishers will be awarded and recognized.
Participants receive a light breakfast provided by Wild Eggs, a Dri‑Fit shirt, and a finisher medal. The format is community oriented and focuses on fundraising and recognition of caretaking roles within the neighborhood.
