Northallerton 10k
The Northallerton 10k is a road race held in the county capital of North Yorkshire. The event features a single 10 km loop that begins on Northallerton High Street. Participants transition from the town center out onto country roads, which offer views of the North Yorkshire landscape. The route is described as undulating and is predominantly conducted on paved surfaces.
The course is heavily marshalled for participant safety, though the organizer specifies that the route is not suitable for wheelchairs. The event has a total entry limit of 1,500 runners. Registration services are located at the Northallerton Town Hall, which serves as the race headquarters. While basic facilities like toilets and water stations are provided, there are no changing rooms, showers, or baggage storage areas available on-site.
Runners receive a chip timer for result tracking and a finishers medal upon completion. Water stations are positioned at the 5k mark and the finish line. Participants who register before a specific deadline in mid-March also receive an event T-shirt. The race aims to support the Pendragon Community Trust, a local charity.
