About the race
The Eighth Annual North Shore Trail Run takes place at Coast Guard Park, 18161 North Shore Rd, Spring Lake, Michigan, on October 3, 2026. The event uses trails in the North Ottawa Dunes area and offers multiple timed and untimed options across natural terrain.
Distances offered
- 10K Trail Run: 6.2 Miles
- 5K Trail Run/Hike/Walk: 3.1 Miles
- Combo 10K + 5K (separate events): 9.3 Miles
- 2K Kids Fun Run (untimed): 1.3 Miles
The 10K course is described as hillier than the 5K course. The 5K follows a similar route with less elevation. The kids fun run is a shorter, untimed course designed for children 12 and under, though others may participate; it is listed as free and parents are encouraged to run alongside very young children.
Entry fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 10K, $20 for the 5K, $40 for the combo, and $0 for the kids run.
