The Gobble Gallop is the 20th annual running event in Duluth, Minnesota, presented by Essentia Health and produced by Duluth Running Company. The event supports Safe Haven Shelter & Resource Center as its charity partner. Registration opens September 1, 2025 and closes on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. Registration is online only; there is no paper registration. The first 1,500 participants in the 5K or 1-Mile receive a 20th Anniversary winter hat. Fundraisers who raise $250 or more receive a refund of their registration fee.
Events, courses and logistics
- 5K - Out-and-back on London Road and Superior Street, starting at The Rose Garden.
- 1-Mile - Starts and finishes at The Rose Garden via Superior Street to Fitger's Building and back.
- Kids Run - On London Road, starts and finishes at The Rose Garden. Ages 1-8.
The races start and finish on London Road near 13th Ave E and The Rose Garden. The Rose Garden parking lot will not be available for event parking; other nearby parking options and affected street closures are noted on event materials. Awards are given to the top three finishers by gender categories, including non-binary, and to top three in multiple age groups for the 5K and 1-Mile. Award winners also receive pies courtesy of SuperOne Foods. The event is supported by the City of Duluth, Duluth Police Department, partners, and volunteers.
