North Knox Sprint Triathlon - Knoxville, TN
The North Knox Sprint Triathlon takes place on April 26, 2026 at the Tennova Family YMCA in Knoxville. It is the opening event in the Grand Shizzle Pool Sprint Series and is held at an indoor pool facility.
The race format is a pool-based sprint triathlon with three disciplines. Distances:
- Swim: 150 yards
- Bike: 9.5 miles
- Run: 5K
Event divisions include Sprint Individual, Sprint Athena for females 165+ pounds, Sprint Clydesdale for males 220+ pounds, Sprint Mixed Relay, and Sprint Aquabike which includes swim and bike only. The course descriptions note a pool swim, a run along the North Halls backdrop, and a bike route with some elevation gain.
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; USAT rules apply and participants must have either an annual or a one-day USAT license. Awards are given overall to the top finishers and by multiple male and female age groups, including separate awards for Clydesdale and Athena divisions, relays, and aquabike.
Personal Best Racing LLC states a no refund policy and allows transfers between divisions following the organizer's procedures. Event shirts are not guaranteed for registrations within two weeks of the event.
