North Downs Way Ultra Run
This is a guided 30 miles trail run on the North Downs Way that starts and finishes at St Martha's in Guildford. The event takes place on 3 October 2026 and the entry cost is £45 per person. A car park is available and the start is a short run or taxi ride from a train station.
The route explores the trails of the Surrey Hills and passes through small villages, Denbies Wine Estate and the top of Box Hill, with planned stops for a drink and cake and to enjoy views from the downs. The course then follows the North Downs Way westbound toward Newland's Corner and returns to St Martha's church.
The run is organised as a group rather than as a race. The route is led and marked by an experienced ultra runner and coach so participants do not need to navigate independently. Participants are advised to have run at least 22 miles in training and to be able to sustain roughly 10 min/mile or 6 min/km pace on trails for prolonged periods. A full kit list will be provided before the event. An alcohol free beer may be offered at the finish subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
