North Downs Way Ultra Run
This is a guided trail run along sections of the North Downs Way around Guildford, Surrey, held on Saturday 3 October 2026. The route starts and finishes at St Martha's Hill and covers 30 miles, taking in trails of the Surrey Hills, small villages, Denbies Wine Estate and the top of Box Hill. The group returns via the North Downs Way westbound, arriving at Newland's Corner and St Martha's church.
The event is organised as a group run rather than a race and is presented as suitable for first-time ultra runners. Participants will be accompanied by an experienced ultra runner, mountain leader and coach who will manage the route and offer advice during the day. Organisers advise that participants have previously run at least 22 miles in training and can comfortably maintain an average pace of 10 min/miles | 6 min/km for prolonged periods on trail.
A full kit list will be provided before the event. Practical details note car parking is available and the meeting location is a short run or taxi ride from a train station.
