The race covers 50 km with approximately 798 m of ascent on fully marked trails and carries a UTMB World Series index. There are three staffed checkpoints: CP1 Arnold Rec Barton at 14.3 km, CP2 The View at 28 km, and CP3 Offley Village Hall at 37.2 km; each has toilets. Aid station provisions include water, cola, pre-mixed electrolyte drink, gels, chews, crisps, sweets and fresh fruit. Required kit for the entire event includes a mobile phone, route map on device, waterproof jacket, headtorch, refillable hydration of at least 0.5 L, warm hat and gloves, foil blanket and payment method.
