Runaway Adventures - North Chilterns 50K

North Chilterns 50K is a 50-kilometre trail ultra starting from the Putteridge Bury Estate near Luton. The route climbs 798m+ across the North Chilterns, offering undulating ridgelines and viewpoints at Warden Hill and Barton & Pegsdon Hills. Runners follow the Chiltern Way toward Lilley, out to Warden, Pegsdon Hills, and Offley, finishing with a rolling 12 kilometres.

The event is fully marked with orange arrows, marshals, and route-checkers, and features three aid stations with hydration and nutrition support. The base provides indoor registration, toilets, and hot drinks; finishers receive a medal, chip timing, and live results. It’s UTMB World Series-indexed and noted for a friendly, scenic atmosphere.
