Event Overview
The North Alabama Chick-fil-A Race Series: Madison 10K/5K/Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026. This event marks the return of a popular local race after a hiatus. It takes place in Madison, Alabama, and is centered around a community celebration. The Chick-fil-A Cows mascots are present.
Distances
Participants can choose from three events.
- 10K - USATF certified course.
- 5K - USATF certified course.
- Fun Run - A short dash for younger participants.
Course and Location
The certified 10K and 5K routes are on the Bradford Creek Greenway, described as an out-and-back course. Both courses feature slight hills in the 6-8% grade range. Free parking is available on-site.
Amenities and Features
All participants receive a short-sleeve race shirt, a sponsor-filled race packet, and finisher photos with the Chick-fil-A Cows. Free Chick-fil-A food is available on race morning. There are two aid and recovery stations on the course and at the start/finish line, offering hydration, first aid, snacks, and electrolytes.
Awards and Timing
The race is professionally RFID chip-timed. Prizes are awarded in multiple categories. Top overall finishers can win a year of free Chick-fil-A, and top age group winners receive free Chick-fil-A. All Fun Run finishers get a gift card for a free Chick-fil-A treat. Awards are available at the finish line; there is no formal ceremony.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday, April 17th at a sponsor location and on race morning starting at 6:00 AM. Race day registration is permitted up until 20 minutes before the start. Strollers and leashed, well-socialized dogs are welcome at the back of the pack. Walkers are encouraged to register for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
