Event overview
The NM Sweetheart Run takes place on February 14, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with start and finish at Bosque School, 4000 Bosque School Rd. NW. The event offers multiple race options:

- 5K
- 5K Team of 2
- 5K (ages 1-17)
- Kids K (ages 1-11)
The course is a loop through the North Valley Bosque and runs primarily on ditch banks and trails. All participants receive a finisher medal and an event t-shirt. Age-group and overall awards are given for the 10K and 5K, and team awards are given for partnered divisions. Kids K participants receive a recognition award.
Logistics, safety and rules
Packet pick-up and late registration are scheduled the day before the race at Heart and Sole Sports, 2817 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Race-day registration and packet pick-up are available near the Bosque School track and field for out-of-town participants. Port-a-potties will be available near the start/finish area. Designated parking and specific entrance/exit routes at Bosque School are required.
The event uses a gun start with chip finish; the timing chip is attached to the back of the bib and the bib must be worn on the front and remain visible. Bibs are non-transferable. Water stations are provided; the 10K also offers Powerade. Medical staff will be stationed along the course and at the finish. Strollers, bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, dogs, and other unauthorized wheeled devices are prohibited on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
