Event
The NM Shamrock Shuffle is scheduled for March 15, 2026 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The event is based at Loma Colorado Park / Rio Rancho Aquatic Center (745 Loma Colorado NE). Distances offered include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 5K (17 and under)
- Kids K
- 10K Virtual Run
- 5K Virtual Run or Walk
This is the 21st annual running of the Shamrock Shuffle. Registered participants receive a race t-shirt and finisher medals. Overall and age-group awards are given for the 10K and 5K; the Kids K participants receive a recognition award. Post-race refreshments will be available near the finish. Course maps are published online.
Participant information
Packet pickup and late registration are scheduled for March 14 at the New Balance store, 3731 Ellison Rd. NW, Albuquerque. Timing chips are issued with bibs and must be worn for official timing; chips and bibs may be collected at packet pickup or on race morning at the west side parking lot of Loma Colorado Park next to the aquatic center. Virtual participants receive mailed swag beginning March 10 and must complete and record their run during the event window and submit results by March 16.
Parking is limited to designated areas; noted locations include the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center, Rio Rancho High School Performing Arts Center (recommended for 10K participants), and the Rio Rancho Library. Dogs and most wheeled devices are prohibited on the course; strollers are allowed only on the 5K and must start at the back. Event officials may remove or disqualify participants who violate course or conduct rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
