Event Overview
The NM Shamrock Shuffle is a multi-distance running and walking event held in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The 2026 edition is the 21st annual event. It takes place at Loma Colorado Park, with the address 745 Loma Colorado NE.
Distances
The event offers several distances:

Participant Information
All participants receive a bib with a timing chip and must wear it visibly. The event uses a gun start with chip timing for official results. Awards are given for overall and age group winners in the 10K and 5K events. All entrants receive a finisher medal and an event t-shirt.
Packet pickup and late registration are available the day before the event at a specified New Balance store in Albuquerque. Race-day packet pickup is also available at the event location. Parking is available at several nearby locations, including the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center, Rio Rancho High School Performing Arts Center, and the Rio Rancho Library.
Course and Rules
Course maps for the 10K, 5K, and 2-Mile Walk are available online. Aid stations on the course provide water and Powerade for the 10K, and water for the 5K. Post-race refreshments are available near the finish line.
The event has specific rules. Strollers and baby joggers are only permitted on the 5K course and must start at the back. Dogs, skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on any course. Participants may use headphones and personal GPS devices, but athletes competing for prizes cannot use headphones. The event has a medical team and an inclement weather policy.
