Event Overview
The NM Bosque Burque Run offers 15K, 10K, and 5K distances, including a 5K category for participants 17 years and under. The event takes place on May 17, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Course and Location
The runs are held on an out-and-back loop course that goes through the Albuquerque Open Space Bosque. The start and finish are near each other at Bosque School (4000 Bosque School Rd. NW). Parking is available in designated areas. The trails and paths are uneven, so strollers and baby joggers are not permitted. Dogs are also not allowed.
Participant Information
All registered participants receive a finisher's medal and an event shirt. There is race-day registration. Pre-registered participants must pick up their event packets at a designated packet pickup on May 16, 2026 at Fleet Feet Sports (5901 Wyoming suite R, Albuquerque). Out-of-town participants may pick up packets on race day between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. at SIPI (Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute).
The event uses a gun start with a clock finish, and official timing is provided via a timing bib/chip. All participants must wear their assigned, unaltered bib number visibly on the front of their clothing.
Awards
Awards are presented immediately after each event. Overall awards go to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, determined by gun time. Age-group awards are also given, with detailed categories for each distance. Awards must be collected on the day; they will not be mailed.
Event Policies
Medical support and radio communications are present at aid stations along the course. An inclement weather policy is in place, which may involve course alterations, start time adjustments, or cancellation. Post-race refreshments are provided. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries cannot be deferred, sold, or transferred. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
