Niwot Mile - July 4, 2026
The Niwot Mile is a point to point downhill one mile race in Niwot, Colorado. The course starts at Niwot High School and finishes at Niwot Market. The event is presented as part of local July 4th celebrations and is accompanied by community festivities.
Displayed entry amounts are $28.74 for the Niwot Mile and $12.69 for children 12 years and younger; the event also lists base prices of $25 for adults and $10 for children with processing fees reflected in the displayed totals. All registered participants receive a race T in adult and kids sizes and postrace snacks, though shirts are not guaranteed for race day registration.
Parking is available at the Niwot High School parking lot and on the north side of the Niwot Market parking lot; some nearby residential areas also offer parking. Packet pickup and race shirts are available the day before at Niwot Market, with additional race day pickup in the Niwot Market parking lot.
Following the race a pancake breakfast and community band performance take place at Niwot Market. Breakfast pricing is listed as $10 for ages 12 and older, $5 for ages 5 to 11, and free for children 4 and under. Event proceeds support a local wrestling scholarship fund.
