US Road Running - Tallahassee
The US Road Running event in Tallahassee, Florida, takes place at the Miccosukee Canopy Road Greenway. This running event offers three distinct race distances held on a trail surface rather than a paved road. Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
The event uses an out-and-back course format. For the 5K, participants complete the designated 1.56-mile out-and-back loop twice. Those participating in the 10K cover the same loop four times. The Half Marathon utilizes a different 2.18-mile out-and-back loop, which runners must complete six times to reach the full distance.
All participants are required to register online in advance, as there is no registration available at the venue on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the site shortly before the race begins. There is a general time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all distances. Finishers receive a medal for completing their respective courses. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to take part in a costume contest, and the event contributes points toward the US Road Running series.
